We love Sundays!

Although we don't have a traditional Monday to Friday working week, we still love our lazy Sundays when we don't have a canoe trip going out.

I've realised that our Sundays seem to involve a lot of animals. My favourite walk is up through our nearest forest to see some horses that graze there. Always munching away on apples on the way to make sure we have some leftovers for them - we couldn't arrive empty handed!

After a long walk we tend to call in at the Lochaber Farm Cafe for some lovely lunch, cakes and great coffee. Another fun thing about this cafe is the animals they have - tiny lambs, rescue minature shetland ponies and highland cattle. We spend ages petting them and talking in silly voices to them.

Chris couldn't resist picking up one of the little lambs for a closer look. The lamb seemed to be perfectly happy with the extra attention.

After all the excitement, you might guess what we do on Sunday evenings.... that's right - we settle down with a cup of tea to watch Countryfile for even more animals and country living! Who could resist "Adam's Farm"?

I think this fascination with all the animals is a clear sign that we need one of our own and hopefully at the beginning of July we'll be getting a little border collie pup. Here's a photo of her at just a few days old - isn't she lovely?
